For his entire career, Daniel has been a zealous advocate for consumers, shareholders, and employees. Prior to forming EDGE, Daniel trained at two litigation boutiques in Los Angeles and New York where he worked with some of the finest litigators in the country. Today, Daniel serves as counsel to plaintiffs in several class action and derivative action lawsuits and together with his litigation team, Daniel regularly faces off against the largest corporations and law firms in the world.
Daniel is well-accustomed to representing the Davids against the Goliaths in court. Even before graduating from law school, Daniel successfully represented himself in two lawsuits that both resulted in settlements ten times greater than his pre-suit settlement offers. Daniel’s first lawsuit was against a Canadian automotive parts manufacturer that sold him a defective product and resulted in a five-figure settlement. Daniel’s second lawsuit was against a Florida-based real estate private equity firm for misappropriation and breach of fiduciary duty and resulted in a seven-figure settlement for his homeowner’s association.
Before embarking on his legal career, Daniel worked as an acquisitions associate in real estate private equity and as an operations manager in aerospace manufacturing. He also worked as a private tutor and taught the SAT, GMAT, and LSAT. Daniel is a nationally-certified performance driving instructor for the Porsche Club of America, and as a competitive chess player, Daniel attained an expert rating with the U.S. Chess Federation.
Daniel earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he was an Editor for the Duke Law Journal and a Member of the Moot Court Board. During law school, Daniel externed in the chambers of the Hon. Craig D. Karlan of the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles, and in the Office of the Public Defender of Chatham County, North Carolina.
Daniel has a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
